I found this great mural while on the Haverford College campus. I don't have a wide angle lens so I had to take separate photos. The single wall mural is painted with the top to bottom photos laid out left to right.
Good question. I'm not good at interpreting art, but the top image appears to be Marvin Gaye and Sonia Sanchez which represent music and poetry. Flowing out of her mouth comes the hugging couple connected at the head -joined in thought? Not sure about the bottles or lamp but 'Why does a Caged Bird Sing' comes to mind. The cat-dogs and people look to represent theater and dance.
