Don’t expect a debate. What would be the point?
A political debate normally involves two or more candidates who respond to questions, and each other, with their views and platforms on issues that concern the constituents they hope to govern.
In Chester’s case, what is there difference between the two candidates besides their political party?
At least when it comes down to city council meetings, I’ve noticed that over 98% of the time, both candidates vote the same way on resolutions, which indicates that they both have the same agenda.
It’s great to know that over 80% of you would attend a mayoral debate but when both candidates have proven to be in near total agreement on every issue that has come before them, it would be a boring and worthless event.
