It’s possible that the candidate will debate for a couple hours in front of a few people later this month. But the real debates that will make a difference in the upcoming election is when you debate about the important issues facing Chester with your friends and neighbors in the beauty shops, barber shops, on the bar stool, on the job, and in the Sam & Sam lunchmeat line.
With four full weeks left before election day, I imagine that the Chester candidates will be kicking into high gear right about now.
As always, you have voters that have already made up their minds, others who have not, and those who don't have a clue.
So, I’ve decided to stage a 4 week 'Voter Debate' on the Chester City Blog.
In order for this to work, here’s what has to happen:
- I'll present a position, view, opinion, or endorsement
- You present your comments on them
- We debate with each other through the comments
- You encourage your friends to do the same
Honestly, if I can get 19 comments on why Rondae Jefferson shouldn’t play football, I’m hopeful we can get a lot more comments on who should be Chester’s next mayor.
For now, I’ll let you enjoy your beautiful Sunday weather, but tomorrow, it’s on!
All debate posts will have ‘Election 2011-’ in the title.
Hope you will join The Chester City Blog Voter's Debate.
