Sadly this is becoming the norm in this city, we're averaging several funerals a week just from shooting alone in the small city.....my own family being 1 of them yesterday....I've said it before and I will say it everyday THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! SOME ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN BY THE COMMUNITY AND THE OFFICIALS IN THIS CITY....STOP WITH THE BACK BITING OF EACH OTHER AND GRAND STANDING FOR VOTES AND TELL ME WTF YOU ARE DOING AND GOING TO DO TO MAKE THE HONEST HARD WORKING PEOPLE OF THIS COMMUNITY SAFE ENOUGH TO COME FORWARD AND TELL WHAT THEY KNOW AND REALLY GO AFTER THESE CRIMINALS THAT LIVE HERE AND ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT DON'T....BRING IN COMPANIES THAT WILL REALLY BRING JOBS TO THE "PEOPLE" OF CHESTER NOT JUST THEIR BUSINESS AND IMPORT THEIR EMPLOYEES TO GET THE TAX BREAK, JOBS AND EDUCATION MAKE FOR A LAWFUL PRODUCTIVE COMMUNITY...WE HAV COPS THAT DON'T LIVE HERE AND DON'T PLANN ON IT SO THEY HAVE NO VESTED INTEREST IN MY CITY...IT'S JUST A PAY CHECK AND EXPERIENCE TO WORK IN THE SURROUNDING BOUROGHS....YES THE SENSLESS VIOLENCE HAS HIT HOME AND YES I'M ANGRY....AND YES I "STILL" WANT PEOPLE TO STOP LISTENING TO THE STREETS AND THAT BS NOO SNITCHING CRAP AND YES I WANT MY CITY BACK TO THE SAFE HAVEN IT WAS IN MY YOUTH AND MY MOTHER'S YOUTH AND MY GRANDMOTHER'S YOUTH.... I WANT THE SAME SAFTEY I HAD WHEN I LIVED 5MINS AWAY IN CHI....5 MINS AWAY...DANG IT LET'S GET THIS DONE!!!!!!
Councilwoman Walker-Smith is not a solution to the problem in Chester. Her Being a lame duck councilwoman with a bad attitude should not be allowed to make any decisions, now that she is on her way out. She has probably been paid to vote the way of the GOP and does not care about the conseqenses that the people of Chester have to bear after she is gone. Someone should ask her what the GOP has promised her for her poor decisions and bad attitude toward the people of Chester, in the last two months. Especially after the GOP threw her under the bus.
@ Melody....my PLAN is to get involved which I have already done and will continue to do...yours obviously is to just be negative and point out the obvious...I am vigilent in my neighborhood I watch out for the children on my block and any block that I'm on...I don't buy into the "DON'T SNITCH" BS I am the first person to tell everyone TELL WHAT YOU KNOW! But I can not do it by myself...it takes the WHOLE COMMUNITY, not just a few of us, so join in or keep your negativity to yourself...thx boi, and I agree with Stephan what does Walker-Smith have to do with the shooting, and the fact that the police and the people of Chester not working together? The police have faults, but that's were voting come into play...so GET OUT AND VOTE! educate yourselves on the canidates and what the stand for and are about and will actually do...and uh oh yeah VOTE! waiting for her term to end...sounds lazy to me.
everytime there is an shooting or some type of stupid crime going on in this city,people in general wanna blame the police !! please remember,they r not the ones bringing the drugs,guns n this city.its some of these citizens thats bringing it in.fast money equals a short life !! if i c something wrong going on the authorities will know about it !! stop protecting these wannabees and put them where they belong. U heard the old saying "IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD!" where is this village that raised these knuckleheads so we can shut it down !!!
@Anony 7/1/11-9:47pm I agree, the community needs to step up which is something I have said repeatedly, I think our police force needs to be more involved in our community as well as our community needs to stand up and take our children and our streets back, there are way to many sensless crimes happening to our young by our young.
