Interesting results considering the fact that even if school funding is cut, the school board has come up with a budget that will keep the kids in the classroom.
But, if Medicaid is cut, a lot of low-income and disabled people won’t be going to the doctor or afford child care while they work.
Welfare checks may be reduced or eliminated for some altogether.
Food pantries may be forced to close.
Cuts to programs for the poor can affect entire households -- a lot of them in Chester.
The real question is, what is the more dire situation -- Students desperate to learn or families desperate to survive?
