An amazing event was held at City Hall last evening. My interest in attending was peeked by the follow statement in the press release...
The CAMG event provides an opportunity for the community to meet and greet each other, local and regional artists, as well as participate in an educational and artistic enrichment experience.

Ashli Rice's songs brought the house down. What a voice. |
The event achieved that mission and more. It had a free flowing agenda as each performer was allowed to take the time they needed to express themselves.
The exhibitors flanked around the room and in the lobby displayed some of the most incredible art and photography, and a couple local authors shared their books. The Raising Kane Band performed live and DJ Cory Ak took us home.
I met some new people, reunited with some old one, and saw some incredible performances.
It was well attended by mostly adults which begs to question what it will take to get young people out to enjoy their local artist, and to become one themselves. I would think with ‘School of the Arts’ in Chester, they would have brought a bus load.

Thank you for this positive review Stefan. Big Props to Ashli Rice. CAA focused on getting the parents out for this CAM&G event to engage, experience, and further appreciate the importance & impact the arts can have in our community, schools, with emphasis on our children, teens, and young adults. Many Thanks to all who attended, volunteered, and participated. Thanks to the many artists also. More to Come. "The Arts are Alive! in Chester." "Let's stand up for the ARTS! DON Newton
