On Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m., the Chester Pearls Foundation will host the 5th Annual Beautillion at the Waterfall Banquet and Conference Center, 3416 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.
The primary goal of the Chester Pearls Foundation is to raise money to support its scholarship fund. These scholarship funds are awarded to young people living in the City of Chester who seek to continue their education after high school. In addition to raising money for scholarships, the Chester Pearls Foundation sponsors mentoring opportunities for the young men (Beaus) who participate in its annual Beautillion. Every weekend, the Beaus participate in personal development workshops designed to teach them how to make wise decisions as they reach adulthood and how to become positive role models and leaders in their community.
Chester native, Dray Clark, an anchor and reporter with CBS3 in Philadelphia, will be the Master of Ceremonies for the 5th Annual Beautillion. Mr. Clark has supported the community service efforts of Tau Delta Omega Chapter and the Chester Pearls Foundation in the past. Many organizations serving the City of Chester community have recognized Mr. Clark's efforts to uplift and inspire young people leaving in the City of Chester.
This event will celebrate the achievement of young people who seek to further their education and become leaders in their community. This event is open to the press.
The Chester Pearls Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves as the philanthropic arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Tau Delta Omega Chapter.
