I wish y’all would stop calling me with these rumors. If I share them, people say I’m picking, but...
I hear that the recent Chester Economic Development Authority board meeting was quite interesting.
I won’t share names since all this is rumor, but the reigning director of CEDA handed in his resignation to the mayor days earlier. At the most recent board meeting, a number of people from a particular family showed up to the meeting being led to believe that their relative was going to be sworn in as director.
But it didn’t happen.
Therefore, CEDA is leaderless.
Who’s watching the money?
Who the director that recently resigned? Haha, someone was suppose to keep their new job on the hush but you know what happens when you tell the fam...

DeleteI attended this meeting and it was the first CEDA Board meeting I ever attended. I've recently learned that the meeting are open to the Public. I would suggest that our citizenry attend all the Public Meetings and begin to understand the procedures. Once we all have moved on it will be next generation that follow us who must learn the processes. Our leaders are leading us and will continue to carry us positively. As a result of our public comment portion, we are in part running CEDA, this is why we must be present at these and all public hearings. Seifuddin M.A. Simpson
