Rondae Jefferson Inspires Middle School Basketball Players

I call him ‘The Future’.

Chester High School super sophomore, Rondae Jefferson, gave an inspiring message to the Chester Middle School basketball players at their Scholar Athlete Banquet last night.
Once introduced, and all the applause subsided, Rondae reminded the crowd that he was speaking on behalf of the entire CHS State Championship team when he insists that going to school, staying in the classroom, paying attention, learning, and respecting the teachers, is the most important thing for the middle school players to do.
He reminded them that an injury can end their sports career at any moment which is why their education is critical to focus on and become successful accomplishing.
Rondae tersely told them that they have to learn to ‘hold their tongue’ -- that they didn’t always have to have the last word when it comes to relating with their teachers. Learn how to keep quiet in the classroom and do what the teachers ask.
To stress how important good grades are for athletes to achieve, Rondae announced that he is an honor role student. The crowd went crazy.
‘The Future’ is extremely impressive on and off the court.
