Blacks Watch More TV Than Any Other Group


Could be Related to High Degree of Black Unemployment


“African-American households, in general, watch more television than other groups in the U.S. African-Americans watch, on average, two more hours of primetime television per week and watch close to five more hours of daytime television per week,” a report on the site stated.

P.S. These studies have been coming up with the same conclusion for years. But, this is the first time they attributed it to unemployment.  

I've noticed that black folks are more likely to keep a TV on for 'company' even if they aren't watching it, and more likely to fall asleep with the TV on. I'd be willing to bet that blacks watch more local news than other groups.


It sure has nothing to do with watching black actors on TV. That's for sure.
