Pennsylvania gained more high-value robotics and digital technology jobs in the past year than the year before, a South Oakland economic development group that supports those companies said yesterday.
A Technology Collaborative survey of 63 companies in the robotics and digital technologies sectors found that 263 jobs were created and 51 were eliminated from July 1, 2009, to June 30, said CEO David Ruppersberger. Most of those jobs were created in Southwest Pennsylvania, with others in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia areas, he added.
