A comment on the MLK Survey

I needed to respond to the poll that was posted, and this was the only area available, so please forgive me -
I am surprised that an option that is NOT shown in the poll "What will you do on Martin Luther King Day?" is that you would be home and talk to your children about what his dream and message means today?
I am one who is NOT going to clean a school or paint a wall - I am not a janitor and am offended that people will not stay at home, reflect on some substantial programming and talk to their children about tolerance and being a better person; treat people the way that you wish to be treated.
I HATE when someone asks what I am going to do, like I need a task!! I plan to be at home and teach the next generation what I learned from him - I am going to remember all that he stood for, and try to apply those principles to my life.
We, as a people, are so far removed from his dream, it is sad.
It is funny how coming to an inner city area and cleaning can make YOU feel better about how you spend the day; but you tell off color jokes or disrespect someone for the color of their skin, and that is still okay.
Stefan, I love what you do, but please have an option for the more elite African American population that LIVES the dream everyday - and not just on the 3rd Monday in January?
