Chester Soap Box Derby

Lamokin Street, aka, The White Road, notorious for illegal drag racing when I was a kid, has a nearly perfect quarter mile straight run with a modest pitch from Concord Avenue to 10th Street. It is now covered with smooth blacktop, perfect for today's Soap Box Derby sponsored by Chester's Department of Recreation.
