Chester residents CAN use the Widener University library by registering and paying a yearly fee of $15.00.
The Community Borrower’s card will allow the holder, with photo ID, entrance into the building, the ability to borrow no more than 2 books at a time for a period of four weeks, with one renewal. Community Borrowers must present library card and photo ID for entry.
If you go to this page:
and look in the section titled Entrance and Registration, you will find the information below, and links to the application form and regulations for Chester residents.
"Chester Community Visitors must complete an Application for Community Borrowing Privileges form and submit the required information indicated on the Wolfgram Memorial Library Regulations for Community Borrowers form. Community visitors may be requested to provide verification of age."Somehow, Chester folks believe they are prohibited from using Widener's library. I'm not sure when this policy was put in place, but please spread the word to those who would want to use Widener's library.
