Love fest in Chester City Hall?

Two things are certain in Chester politics. First, the Democrats will likely win a lot more elections until Republicans find a way to re-register voters back to the party. Second, despite the outright bickering among the Democrats, Chester folks will still vote for them.

But, it seems the bickering may be coming to an end as council decided to go along with the mayor on his police department appointments despite earlier appointments having to be decided by a judge.
“We’re glad that we were able to sit down and collaborate and communicate with the mayor. We put some things on the table and we were able to work them out.”

In an interesting ‘about face’ we’re starting to hear a happier tone come out of city hall.
“We want people to know that we’re really trying to work together in an effort to have a cohesive unit. We were happy to be able to support the mayor.”
I think the first reading of next year’s budget is coming up soon. Hopefully, they’ve agreed on that already.
