Toby Farms Civic Association College Scholarship

The Toby Farms Civic Association is pleased to announce college scholarships to high school seniors who reside in the Toby Farms community which is located in Chester Township, Pa.    

To identify candidates for the scholarship, the TFCA will partner with area high schools and youth serving agencies to obtain nominations for scholarship candidates, as well as accepting personal nominations.   

After being nominated, candidates will take part in an interview and selection process, including essay composition and academic record review.   

The maximum dollar amount for each scholarship will be dependent upon the number of applications received.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS

1.     Must live in Toby Farms community.

2.     Must be graduating from a four year public or private high school ( no disciplinary/court placement high schools).

3.     Must have a minimum 2.5 (letter grade: B) GPA.

4.     Must have at least one extra-curricular activity. 

5.     Must have been accepted to at least one post-high school academic institution:

a.     Applicant does not have to have decided on which institution to attend before the application deadline, just must have already been accepted.

b.     Types of academic institution which qualify:

                                               i.     4 year (college, university).

                                             ii.     2 year (i.e., computers, community college, etc.).

                                            iii.     Trade/Vocational (i.e., cosmetology, electrical, etc.).
