Chester Democrats name candidates


According to the Chester/Community Spirit, the Chester Democratic Committee officially introduced candidates running in the May primary election.

Endorsed candidates include Portia West and William “Al” Jacobs for Chester City Council; Bill Riley, Beverly Harris, Joan Neal and Tyra Quail for Chester Upland School Board; Nancy Walker for Court of Common Pleas judge; Patricia Worrell and Bill Clinton for Delaware County Council; and Marilyn Lee for Magisterial District judge region 32-1-21.

  1. Great, how quick Councilwoman was to announce, without discussing with the community, that we would not have two trash pick-ups starting this summer. However, to date I have not heard that our rubbish tax has been reduced in regards to this change?

  3. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD WE NOT HAVE TWO TRASH PICK UPS IN THE SUMMER. THIS CITY IS GOING TO STINK AND GET DIRTIER. UNBELIEVABLE.

    1. I think they made the change to save money. Don't most towns have year round once a week pickups? Chester is a rare exception. If folk put their trash in trash cans with lids there shouldn't be a problem. Right?
