Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer, announced that the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) is operating free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites for a seventh year.
This year CAADC will be hosting five sites serving low- and moderate-income families in Delaware County. All the sites will be staffed by IRS trained and certified community volunteers and will aim to serve families who qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit.
The free sites will be located at the Wesley House at 701 Madison Street in Chester, PA 19013; the Toal Building at 2nd and Orange Streets in Media, PA 19063; Sharon Hill Commons at 401 Sharon Avenue in Sharon Hill, PA 19079; the Boothwyn Office, 1414 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, PA 19061; and at the Life Center of Eastern Delaware County, 6310 Market Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
The sites begin operation on January 30th and will continue through April 19th. All sites are by appointment only with hours occurring Monday through Saturday (days will vary at each site).
