Boeing Recognized by Community Action Agency for its Outstanding Support

The Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) presented The Boeing Company with the agency’s Private Sector Award at CAADC’s 33rd Annual Meeting on October 31, 2012.  The event was held at the Springfield Country Club and celebrated CAADC’s accomplishments over the past year toward helping economically disadvantaged residents of Delaware County with assistance to achieve self-sufficiency.  It also acknowledged its community partners like Boeing that provide support that is vital to CAADC being able to accomplish its mission.  Boeing was recognized for its “excellence in community service.”      


"It is an honor to be recognized by an organization like the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. that has a longstanding history of helping economically disadvantaged citizens in the community achieve financial independence - an important calling, particularly in today's challenging economic environment," said Susan Fletcher, Philadelphia Shared Services Group director, and CAADC board member. "The agency's important mission aligns with Boeing objectives to help those less fortunate in the communities where our employees live and work, and exemplifies the good that can be achieved through vital industry and community partnerships like the relationship Boeing has had with the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. since 1993."

Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of CAADC, stated “We are truly grateful to Boeing for its support of our efforts to help the economically disadvantaged residents of Delaware County, especially during these difficult economic times.  The Boeing Company has provided unprecedented community support to CAADC for almost 20 years.  They truly care about the community in which they operate.”
