McKoy told his recollections at a reception welcoming he and his wife, Anna, to Chester, where they will serve as the new commanding officers of The Salvation Army Chester Corps Community Center. They have served as Salvation Army officers since 1995, working in Brooklyn, N.Y., Union N.J., Harlem, N.Y., Hartford, Conn., and Boston. They each also carry the rank of major.
“We want this place to be a beacon for this community,” McKoy said. “I want you all to know that we will do our very, very best here in Chester.” Wish I knew they were coming.
