Tyreke Evans returns to Chester with VSP Vision Care

CHESTER BOH, TYREKE EVANS, & VSP VISION CARE ‘LOOK OUT’ FOR CHESTER

Vision Care, the nation’s largest vision care provider, in partnership with the Chester City Bureau of Health and NBA Sacramento Kings pro-basketball player and Chester native, Tyreke Evans, is providing the City of Chester with one million dollars of eye care for children and residents in need.

Working in conjunction with Chester City Health Commissioner Ieasa Nichols, Tyreke will be the spokesperson for VSP who will adopt Chester as a concentration of their eye care annual efforts, providing free eye exams and glasses on their forty foot mobile clinic.

Healthy vision accounts for a child’s academic potential, as more than 60% of children with learning deficiencies have undiagnosed vision issues.

This year will mark the third year of free eye care provided to Chester residents by VSP.

The formal adoption will be announced during a press conference inside the Chester City Boys & Girls Club located at 201 E. 7th Street in Chester on Tuesday, September 25th, at 3:30PM.

NOTE: THE PRESS CONFERENCE IS FOR MEDIA ONLY

  3. Well this young man didn't pull the trigger either. Like I said same situation except he wasn't a star athlete. In the wrong company. You knew exactly what I meant the first time.

    1. How would I know what you meant? You didn't provide details about your guy.

It's the American justice way. There are tons of examples of how money and privilege has favor in the courts. Right?

There are a lot of criminals set free and a lot of innocent people in jail.

Tyreke was not sent to jail and will not be retried. He's moved on with his life and has done well which upsets some folks. Hopefully, those folks will eventually move on with their lives.

Don't be mad at Tyreke. Get mad with the system.

Here's my statement in all caps in case you missed it...THERE ARE A LOT OF CRIMINALS SET FREE AND A LOT OF INNOCENT PEOPLE IN JAIL.

      Reading is Fundamental.

  6. I don't know the story behind this individual. However, whatever act he committed he has to account for it. As we all do. So, UNTIL he returns his Creator. He's trying to do Positive things.....
We know that we're able to express our own views, opinions and facts"as we see" it but, please lets decrease the negativity. Chester as a community is working hard to change. Thank you Mr. Roots for your time and effort for the community awareness. Enclosing is a authentic statement. "You can't change the condition of the People UNTIL THEY change the conditions of Themselves.

This is not in need of any response unless positive..... I was just making a observation.

  7. The sad thing is, Tyreke at least comes back and consistently does something good for his community, and all you people want to do is pull him down in the dirt. Get over it! He was not found guilty!! This is why no one wants to do anything for Chester people.... too many CRABS in the Barrel :-(
