Chester City Host Riverfront Ramble


Hon. Mayor John A. Linder and Chester City Council, along with sponsors Collins Shop Rite, TD Bank, BPG, the Chester Spirit/Spirit Media Group, Peco, and Comcast, invite the Chester community and surrounding neighborhoods to Chester’s Riverfront Ramble Festival Saturday, September 22nd along Seaport Drive at the Chester City Riverfront. 


The festival begins at 12:00 noon with a massive Zumba class for all participants taking place at the main stage, as part of Chester’s Let’s Move Campaign sponsored by the Chester City Bureau of Health. 

The Collins Shop Rite Classics Car Show rolls into the event at 1PM followed by more entertainment on the main stage from 1:00PM to 8:00PM including performances by Chester Youth Idol Winners, R&B Oldies artist Harry Jackson, featured gospel artist Tye Tribbett and more. 

The Riverfront Ramble Youth Stage will host young talents, including Z-Dub, JaQuay, and Jamia Mosely and several other young artists, from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. 

In addition to stage entertainment, Classics Car Show, food and craft vendors, The Philadelphia Zoo will present a Petting Zoo inside the youth area, alongside The Franklin Institute feature, and trackless train. 

Featured Ramble Artists Morris Day &The Time will host the evening finale performance closing with a fireworks display. 

All events, entertainment, and parking are free for the duration of the event.

  1. I know it is free but this is so sad compared to last year talent. I ain't trying be smart because I am a Democrat but it just feels like these Democrats don't know much about shows and concerts this been the worst year ever for concerts. Last year, Chester felt like Philly with everything that was going on. Ok, I'll say it I sure do miss those Republicans that put those events together last year. I hate to say it but I got to give credit where credit is due. Damn those Democrats.....Lol

  5. I understand that it's ok for everyone to have an opinion but OMG! The Democrats just can't catch a break. Please research before you say (or type) anything. Jim Turner (Republican) is the main person who planned the ramble AND booked the talent! Its people being murdered on the streets daily and you're upset about why the "democrats" didn't have a line-up like last years SMH!
