Silk, I know that was your close friend and sorry for your loss. I got the call yesterday and just froze in my tracks. I didn't know him well but he always greeted me with the huge smile and our conversations were always pleasant. I was always amused that whenever I saw him he was wearing that black & white striped shirt. A great guy. He will be missed.
Money Mike was a dean's assistant at my highschool. I graduated a year back but I enjoyed coming and sitting with him and talking to him. While in school, I was a rebellious one. I used to dip out of class or skip all together and he would be there not to condone it but to talk to me about why I was so out of line. He ran detentions and i would pass him notes and ramble on about anything. He would make me smile when I was on the verge of tears and kept me out of trouble when I was tumbling towards it. He was a great man and a wonderful father figure. He will be and already is truely missed. My family sends out their condolences to the family and we will be here if anyone of you need anything. I will always remember him yelling MAAYYYAAA down the halls of haven when I saw him and all the laughs we had over my 3 years there about anything that came to mind. You were a blessing to my life and every other student that you graced your spirit with at Haven.
Stephan, Thanks for recognizing my Brother in Christ and my friend. Yes he was one of the best people God put on earth, I'm a bit prejudice but it's true none the less. I would like for you to save the posts if at all possible so I can get with you to forward them to his family. There will be lots of people who dont get to speak with them to convey their condolences and I'm sure reading the posts will help them get through knowing how much he was loved from people they dont even know.
