Chester fights over 0.2%

If a family earned $50,000 a year, how likely is it that a husband and wife would have a big fight over $119?

Hubby might sneak out and buy himself a new suit or wifey might get that pair of shoes she’s been checking out. Sure, eyebrows might be raised when they’re found out, but not too many families will find themselves in the newspaper fighting over $119.

The City of Chester has a $42,000,000 (that’s $42 million) budget. They are in the newspaper fighting over $100,000, a trifling .2% of the budget.

$119 is .2% of $50,000.

Is it worth it?

  1. Not 0.002%. The correct amount is 0.238%. Anyway, this is about Whitney White and the Mayor's ego. Shameful and embarrassing.

  2. Oops. Forgot to move the decimal point. Thanks.

Yes. 0.238%. I thought rounding to 0.2% looked sexier. But you're right. The $16,000 difference should not be ignored.
