Swarthmore College will host a tennis clinic on Tuesday, July 10, from 2-3pm, with tennis superstar James Blake for youth participants of the Chester Boys and Girl Club.
The clinic is sponsored by the Philadelphia Freedoms and the Loomis Racquet Academy, run by Swarthmore women’s tennis coach Jeremy Loomis.
The Chester Boys and Girls Club works to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
“Inspired by Swarthmore College’s commitment to social responsibility, we are excited to bring James Blake and the Chester Boys and Girls Club together for a special tennis clinic on campus,” said Jeremy Loomis. “Mr. Blake’s inspiring story and accomplished tennis skills are tremendous attributes to share. We appreciate his participation and that of the Philadelphia Freedoms in this community event.”
“The Philadelphia Freedoms are thrilled to participate in this clinic with Freedoms team member James Blake,” said Barbara Perry, General Manager and Executive Vice President of the Philadelphia Freedoms. “The Freedoms are committed to keeping tennis accessible and fun for all children and partnering with the Chester Boys and Girls Club and the Loomis Racquet Academy allows us to share the excitement of this sport with all young tennis enthusiasts.”
