Mayor John Linder honors Firefighters


The Honorable Mayor John A. Linder and Chester City Council will present honors to the Firefighters of the Bureau of Fire “B” Platoon, during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting to take place 10:00AM inside Council Chambers at Chester City Hall, on Wednesday July 11th 2012. 
The members of “B” Platoon performed outstanding service during a four alarm fire at the Wallingford Estate Apartments complex during the early morning hours on February 6th 2012, Super Bowl Sunday. 
The Firefighters of  “B”  Platoon successfully combated the fire which destroyed the “A” building at the apartment complex, displaced twenty-five families, and caused property damages totaling in excess of several hundreds of thousands of dollars.  
“B” Platoon accomplished this service without incident or fatality. Their professionalism has subsequently earned the Bureau of Fire’s fourth front-cover photograph in nationally distributed fire service publications.

    Instead of trying to kiss the firefighter's a**, how about you approve the contract like you said you would during the campaign?

    should read "Linder still Screwing firefighters", He shows his face at Union meetings asking for support, he gets support then forgets all about the firefighters, appealing their contract, Linder u sir, are an asshole.

    Linder your a joke when u meet with us during September and October you bash Butler for not signing our contract now your doing the same, you want to cut overtime and shut down a shift. That will hurt the community. Take your award and shove it.

    Is Linder still receiving a car allowance like everybody else on council? That's a BRAND NEW TRUCK and a CAR ALLOWANCE.

    Why is an award necessary for putting out a fire??? Isn't that what they get paid to do?? Reading the above comments sounds like they really don't want to be honored or recognized, just paid more...

    SOUNDS LIKE JJ HIMSELF POSTING AGAIN! OR A CERTAIN POLICE OFFICER WHO TRIES TO JAM THE FIREFIGHTERS UP ALL THE TIME. WE NEVER ASKED TO BE HONORED, THIS WAS THE COMMISH TRYING TO MAKE HIMSELF LOOK LIKE HE CARES ABOUT HIS FIREFIGHTERS, BUT ALL HE REALLY DOES IS BACK STAB THEM AND TALK TRASH ABOUT THEM. FUNNY HOW NO ONE HAS ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT THE COPS WHEN THEN ARE HONORED, WHO REALLY SHOULD BE HONORED IS THE PA STATE TROOPERS, THEY ARE THE ONLY LAW ENFORCEMENT WORTH A SHIT IN THIS CITY.
