This week’s Chester Spirit reports that The Chester Fund will appeal its rejection to establish the Chester Charter School for the Arts to the state Charter Appeals Board next week.
Can anyone blame the district for rejecting a new charter school with all the issues they have in funding the existing charter schools already in place?
And, why would anyone propose a new charter school in Chester after reading in today’s Daily Times that the courts denied Chester Community Charter School the nearly $28 million dollars they claimed is owed them from Chester Upland and the PA Department of Education?
Maybe it’s just me, but charters don’t seem to make economic sense around here.
YES THE SCHOOL OF YHE ARTS WILL BE WONDERFUL
ReplyDeleteA lot of things would be wonderful. Can Chester Upland school district afford another charter school?
DeleteYea, it sounds nice and all but the answer is NO. Another Charter is a death sentence for the Chester-Upland.
