Children living at two homeless shelters in Chester will be treated to a Philadelphia Union soccer game on June 16th thanks to a donation of tickets from Delaware County Council to the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) which operates the shelters.
County Councilman Dave White, Council’s liaison to CAADC, presented soccer tickets to Edward T. Coleman, CAADC Chief Executive Officer, for use by children and their chaperones from the Wesley House Emergency Shelter and The Family Management Center in Chester.
Mr. Coleman stated “This donation by County Council will provide some children going through a rough time with a fun experience.”
Since PPL Park opened in 2010, County Council has donated tickets to various groups that serve children and adults including Elwyn, Special Olympics, Family Support Line, the Cardinal Krol Center and Marcus Hook youth organizations.
