Mayor John Linder cuts ribbon on Eldercare

Hon. Mayor John Linder finished his Saturday afternoon of events scheduled with a ribbon cutting alongside Councilwoman Williams, Councilwoman West, and Councilman Nafis Nichols, who made his appearance following his participation along with Councilman William Jacobs in The Drug Free Communities 5K walk/run, sponsored in part by Harrahs Casino.

The new Adult Day Care of Chester located on West Tenth Street was the former site of the Community Charter School. Fully rehabilitated and newly finished, the facility boasts amply appointed bright spaces for dining, counseling, education, exercise, health monitoring, social activities, therapy, and treatment services. The new facility also provides transportation services and subsidies for qualified elders.
Mayor Linder expressed his appreciation in a few words to an attentive crowd, “It is this type of business, promising employment opportunities for residents and enhancing communal benefits for Chester, which I am proud to introduce into our landscape, and hope for continued success.”
