CAMPAIGN 2011: Daily Times profiles Mayoral Candidates

John Kopp of the Daily Times profiled the Chester mayoral candidates in their paper today.
If this was the only information you had to go on, how would you vote?
The article starts off with 6 paragraphs of positive accomplishments during the Mayor Butler tenure before sharing what he expects to bring in the next 4 years.
Following that, there’s a short bio on Councilman Linder’s profession history before sharing his vision as mayor.
Here’s what Kopp writes:
Butler
  • Wants to continue to bring in more businesses and jobs
  • Would like to increase the number of police cameras
  • Would like the city to be removed from Act 47
  • Would like to add a Community Center on West Side

Linder
  • Wants to have a revitalized downtown and see 200 new jobs in 4 years.
  • Wants to hire more police, increase training, improve community relations
  • Wants to see more stability in the schools
  • Wants to transform city government into a caring organization where everyone feels comfortable.

It’s that time of the year when the candidates make their promises.
Based on what you read here, which candidate has the best chance of fulfilling their promises?
