Chestnut Ridge supports National Assisted Living Week

Chester, PA:  On Sunday, September 11, 2011, The Residences At Chestnut Ridge remembered the men, women and children who were affected by the events on September 11, 2001.
This year, “National Assisted Living” week began on September 11. The theme is “Forever Proud”. The residents at Chestnut Ridge stood very proud of their community as they opened their doors to the public for an open house and the start of their week long celebration.
Visitors were able to see a variety of apartments and obtained information on senior living and other senior services.  They also enjoyed an all American barbecue, a live band and an ice cream sundae bar that topped off the afternoon for the guests who stopped by.

  1. Assisted living is often viewed as the best of both worlds. Residents have as much independence as they want with the knowledge that personal care and support services are available if they need them. They differ from nursing homes in that they don’t offer complex medical services. Thanks a lot.
