Chester youth gear up for a day of friendly competition in Chester
WHAT: Once again the City of Chester is hosting its annual Soap Box Derby, a youth racing program that teaches young people the values of workmanship and honest competition. Boys and girls between the ages of 10-14 years will be participating in the derby, racing motorless vehicles built from a tool kit by the youth. Each car is individually sponsored by local businesses, organizations and/or community leaders. Along with the race, the event will feature a classic car show, DJ entertainment, vendors, and moon bounce, along with prizes for derby participants.
