On Sunday, April 17, Widener University students will participate in the clean up sponsored by the Office of Residence Life, Widener Athletics and the Office of Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives.
They will be joined by Chester Mayor Wendell N. Butler Jr. and other members of city council.
Widener University has about 160 students who live in the Sun Hill section of Chester, and part of the university’s mission is to contribute to the vitality and well-being of the communities we serve and inspire our students to be citizens of character who demonstrate professional and civic leadership.
Students meet in Spang parking lot, 14th and Melrose Streets in Chester. Clean up will include the following streets in Sun Hill:
§ 14th Street
§ 15th Street
§ 16th Street
§ 18th Street
§ 19th Street
§ Glenn Terrace
§ Melrose Avenue
§ Ridley Avenue
§ Siegel Street
§ Washington Avenue
§ Willison Avenue
