SURVEY RESULTS: Would you buy the Daily Times if it cost $1.00

95% of you said no, but only 20 people voted.
That could mean one of two things.

One, if they raise the price, they’ll have to go out of business because no one would buy their paper at that price. Or, two, a lot of you don’t want to admit that you’ll buy it for $1.
The Philly papers just jumped to $1. When they moved to 75 cents, the Daily Times soon followed suit, and made some nice money in the process.
We’ll see if they follow suit again.
I think these survey results don’t reflect the real deal. There are too many folks addicted to the Daily Times for you to stop.  So many of y’all have to have your fix everyday.
Be forewarned, a dollar a day may not be far away.

  1. I think they would be best served looking for better revenue streams online and charge for comments like The Sun Chronicle in Massachusetts did. I'm sure it will cut back on their "colorful" comments they get and give the people with something interesting to say more of a voice.

Now if they could only fix their RSS feed, I'd pay them the $1 a day just to read it online.
