I was curious what you thought about year-round school. My 3rd grade granddaughter is enrolled in a year-round school in Atlanta and she loves it, and is doing very well. I don’t think there are any year-round schools around here.

I do know there are year round schools in the surrounding areas. But whether they are here, I don't know. It is worth researching. With some time, I can let you know what I come up with if no one else beats me to it.
In the meantime, let's hear the student's opinions on the survey.
I would not like all year round school because I have things to do. Bad enough I don't like coming to school during the fall.
ReplyDeleteI think what we learn would stay in our head longer because over the summer we start to forget.
ReplyDeletesince we are used to not having longer days of school and having no summer breaks we would probably not learn as much because we will be tiered and cranky. we might learn just a little more than we do.

ReplyDeleteI dont think students should attend school all year around because we deserve a break from school to do the things we want to do without having to wake up the next day for school. I also think it's a bad idea for students to attend school all year around because there would be more fights especailly during the summer. So yes I think it's a bad idea for students to attent school all year around.
ReplyDeleteI think it is because school is boring. Kids do not want to go to school. No, what makes you think that we would come to school if it was year round. These days the kids do not want to learn. They take school as a joke and not serious. Now if schools had a way to have fun in every class then kids would love to go to school. Like the teacher that teached math to his students made raps about the lessons. Then there is games to make up that work with the teachers lessons like basketball every time you answer a question you got to shot hoops for more class points. Then there is the rules the kids do not like. One of the rules I do not like is the cell phone rule. I know that teachers think that their students text answers to each other but that is not the reason we want our phones in school. There are the students that want to call there families when they are doing something after school or ask there moms or dads to pick them up from school. That is all I have to say.
