This year, United Way of Southeast Delaware County decided to connect to members of the community by starting its own blog entitled "Live Out Loud".
Each week, the blog has a series, in which we dedicate several blog entries to a particular topic. So far we have covered a wide range of topics such as the past November election, education and the high school drop out rate, hunger in Delaware County, and the United Way campaign.
Along with these blog series we have also included an extremely important and influential voice: yours!
Recently United Way of Southeast Delaware County has featured guest bloggers straight from your community. Most recently we have featured leaders from the social service/nonprofit sector in Delaware County. These guest bloggers have included our own Community Impact Manager Rich Crespo, Alan Edelstein the Executive Director of Family and Community Service of Delaware County, and Fran Alloway a nutrition and health educator at Penn State Cooperative Extension of Delaware County.
Our "Live Out Loud" Blog also features many important resources for residents of Delaware County such as the Food Resource Guide, a document containing all of the organizations that provide hunger services in the area.
We encourage you to visit our Blog because the issues we cover are all issues that are present in Delaware County and touch our lives in some way or another.
We hope this blog can be an informative place for you to learn about the issues in your community. We also hope it can be yet another valuable tool that can connect you and other residents to much needed services and resources.
