The Chester Shade Tree Commission is holding a volunteer tree planting in Chester Park, with the planting of 16 trees. Chester residents and are encouraged to attend and help in this effort to beautify Chester’s parks. Refreshments and equipment are provided.
The Chester Shade Tree Commission was formed in 2005, by an act of City Council, to oversee the planting, maintenance and protection of shade trees, as well as to study and recommend the type of trees and locations for planting, pruning or removal.
