p.s. Just curious. Anyone from Chester work for Synygy? I didn't get an interview when I applied.
Well, I guess that concludes that there are no Chester residents working for Synygy. Why am I not surprised?
ReplyDeleteAre there more out of towners that work in Chester than Chester residents? I would like to know the answer but please consider this for a new poll if you haven't already.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that most Chester residents who work in Chester either work for the school district or city government. Crozer hospital may have a decent number of locals. I'm not sure how a poll will challenge those facts. Again, the only March I will participate in is the one where we demand that every company doing business in Chester is required to at least hire one Chester resident or be fined. That's the least we should ask of these companies.
ReplyDeleteStrikes me that the most you should ask is the 1.5% that every non-resident pays into the system for the privilege of working in Chester. Of course, when companies are going to be strong-armed into hiring otherwise unqualified candidates to do business in this thriving metropolis, I'm sure they'll come running.
ReplyDeleteAnd what about qualified candidates?
ReplyDeleteThen it wouldn't constitute a requirement, it would simply be a reflection of the best person for the job being hired.
