On Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 5:30pm, the City is kicking off the Mayor’s Night Out Tour, an anti-violence initiative, at the William Penn Development, 5th and Franklin Streets in Chester, Pennsylvania. In the wake of recent shootings and the tragic death of 2 year old Terrance Webster, the City is asking everyone to come out and stand together for unity in the community.
Over the next ten weeks, the Mayor’s Night Out Tour will take place every Thursday night at various locations around the city identified as “hot spots” by the Chester Police Department. At the locations, there will be activities, entertainment and residents will receive literature and materials. Guest speakers will empower with a message to take back their community.
