Philadelphia Eagles at Crozer Library

Eagles Youth Partnership’s Storybook Man will be reading to a group of children at the J. Lewis Crozer Library at 1pm on Wednesday, June 23.

Eagles Youth Partnership representatives, along with the Eagles Storybook Man will entertain children at J. Lewis Crozer Library with fun, interactive story book readings, and each child will have an opportunity to select a new book to keep.

The Eagles Book Mobile leverages the star power of the Philadelphia Eagles football team to make reading “cool”, accessible and fun for underserved children.  At each stop, the Eagles Storybook Man, a costumed actor, reads aloud to the elementary school-aged children and invites them to select their very own books to keep; sometimes the first book the child has ever called his/her own.  The Eagles Book Mobile is stocked with more than 150 titles, including multicultural and bilingual books that span in reading level from kindergarten to ninth grade. Please note that players will not be in attendance.

This year the Eagles will be raising funds to help support Eagles Youth Partnership efforts like this with Eagles Flight Night!. Eagles Flight Night! is a unique, family-friendly football experience featuring the pageantry of a game day, a full-pads, mic’d practice with the entire squad, cool random prize giveaways and a fireworks show.

Tickets start at $10 for children under 12 and $20 for adults, with all proceeds going to Eagles Youth Partnership. Tickets can be purchased at PhiladelphiaEagles.com.
