Whenever a dozen cop cars and ambulances speed down 9th Street in one direction and 30 minutes later, 3 ambulances speed back in the other direction (toward Crozer Hospital), something bad happened.
Any witnesses to what happened around 11:30 last night?

There was a block party in the Bennett Homes Housing Project that resulted in violence. (5) People were shot. The Housing Authority Police did not do anything. We really need to talk about the Housing Authority police leaving so Chester Police can control the environment.
ReplyDeleteLudricrous!!!
ReplyDeleteThe kids say that a girl was raped while at the block party. Not sure if this is a rumor or not, BUT....it is sad for residence of the Bennet. Enough is enough already!
ReplyDeleteMr. Roots this is ludricrous because Chester is 55% rental and Chester Housing Authority is in charge of these properties. I am trying to understand why is it so hard to control this environment. I mean there are rules because these people are renting. This is such a bad situation. No matter how hard the Mayor and Cit work to build up the city no one will ever move here with this mentality. Tell you the truth I am ready to throw in the towel. To be honest, I use to blame it on the politicians until I went to college and became educated.
ReplyDeletethe system is working exactly the way it is designed. there was a poll that asked who was the most effective politician. well, why not bring in the state police since housing authority, police and politicians cant seem to address this issue. the real question is do they want to address the issue? and you are right, who want to bring a family to a city that is small but so much crime, a school system that is purely dysfunctional and failing as we speak and people who are afraid to say or do anything to take back their city. the people know where the drugs are and they know where the criminals are...problem is the criminals are part of the family...and have made the people an offer that they cant refuse...shut up or die too!
ReplyDeleteWow is right! What a war zone. There is plenty going on here to focus on.
ReplyDeleteBlogs are great! The problem is they never focus on long term solutions. What happens when they do not look into the information. The state police are in Chester. I see the cars every Thur, Fri, and Sat. We can't rely on outsiders to take our city back. We must do just like the Mayors Anti-Violence Task Force is doing. Trying to get people involved and to step up. We meet every Thursday at City Hall. The biggest challenge with the city is the divide among leadership. I don't see all the politicians sitting in the room during the planning phase, but I see them when the cameras show up or during the march and other activities. I am so sick of this division.
