It’s going to be 85 degrees in Memorial Park on Saturday (10/5). Bring your grill and grub and hang out in the park with the Chester Panthers football teams as they play Ridley for Homecoming.
I envision this as Chester’s Bayou Classic at Southern U, the Battle of the Bay down in Hampton, or the Urban League Classic in New York. It could be a new annual Chester holiday where folks come out and fill the park, watch some football, and have a good time.
Recently, a college coach said that football was about family, not Xs and Os. If you consider how folks tailgate at football games you'd have to agree we don't do that for other sports. And ,usually tailgates are family outings.
Forget about all the other mess going on around here for a few hours and come out to Memorial Park on Saturday and cheer on the Chester Panthers football team.
The first game is at 9am, the last one at 3:30pm. Stop on by for as little or as long as you can.
Wow, wowwww! Come on out let's have some clean fun.
