Driving home from work I normally stop and see mom. This time the police had all streets blocked. Oh boy!
I enter through the back alley and find mom ok. All the action was up the street. Mom said the mayor and helicopters were there. I knew it was serious then.
She saw them bring the boy out the house and drive away in the ambulance. That’s all anyone knew at the time.
Now we find that another illegal gun was involved in a shooting. And it wasn’t an act of violence as much as it was an act of stupidity. Or maybe the 19 year old thought the 8 year old needed to know about guns and it accidentally went off. Otherwise, why would you bring a gun out around an 8 year old?
Let’s continue to work with the police to get illegal guns off the streets.

I grew up in Norris Park and it use to be a great neighborhood. now that we have some ghetto people in our neighborhood things are not the same. I wish some of todays parents would pay attention to their kids. you know when your kids are participating in shady activities but you chose to ignore it. whatever happened to fathers teaching their sons how to be productive individuals and mothers teaching their daughters how to become young ladies.
ReplyDeletewe have a lot of senior citizens here in our neighborhood and they need to feel safe in their homes. I think because a lot of these young boys not having positive male role in their lives they end up raising themselves and not knowing how to become men. I don't think some men realize how much they are needed in their kids lives and what an impact it has when they are absent. yes i'm talking to all you males (I can't call you a man) step up and be a man and be a part of your kids life. a woman can't always teach their sons how to be a man.
