Tyreke Evans trade should revive his career

Tyreke Evans’ trade to the New Orleans Pelicans is old news, but since I have no other Chester news to report (that isn’t crime related) I thought we’d talk some basketball for a moment.

The Pelicans and the Kings aren’t expected to win many games but getting out of Sacramento has the be the goal of any player who ends up there. I watch a lot of pro hoops and the dysfunction of Sacramento is obvious every time I try to watch.

Tyreke takes his coveted, and newly minted rich second contract to a team with a bunch of great young talent. Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers, Eric Gordon, and Ryan Anderson are fun to watch. And, Tyreke joins forces with his draft day mate, Jrue Holiday, who should still be playing for the Sixers.

I’m willing to bet that Tyreke will get his game legs back in The Big Easy and begin to enjoy playing pro basketball now that he’s out of the NBA abyss, aka Sacramento.
