WURD radio station, 900 AM, has an ongoing Conscious Consumerism initiative, focused on harnessing the power of Black consumerism through conscious spending and investing.
Every Wednesday they spend time talking about the issue of economic, business and marketing from the perspective of the Black Community's macro interests, and once a month, starting Wednesday, May 29, they'll broadcast a live show at a Black-owned business to dramatize the matter.
Featured on their first live program will be Nicole Cogdell speaking on the class action discrimination settlement with Wet Seal. Also, Stefan Roots and Melvin Wade will discuss black industrialism as presented in the the book, Toxic Man-The Melvin Wade Story.
The show will broadcast live at the restaurant Relish, 7152 Ogontz Ave, Philadelphia from 4-7pm.
Listen live to this discussion of the importance of economic sufficiency hosted by Nick Taliaferro on your radio at 900 AM, on the live Internet stream found at www.900amwurd.com or on your Smart Phone using the app TuneIn. Or, come join us for dinner and witness the show live.
