Start a Business

Ivey Ibrahim has been conducting the Chester Entrepreneur Works classes for as long as I can remember.  A life long business owner himself, you won't find a better instructor anywhere

Once again, Entrepreneur Works (formally Chester Micro-Enterprise), is conducting their 7 week course teaching the fundamentals of running a small business.
Come to the orientation tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7 at 6pm to learn how the program can benefit you. (14th & Edgmont Ave - Technology Center Building)
Classes start on Thursday, February 9.
Who should attend?

  • Owners of existing small businesses who need a micro-loan, networking opportunities, or any assistance with any aspect of sustaining or growing your business
  • People with a good idea who are considering turning that idea into a small business but don’t know all the right steps to get it started correctly.
  • People who don’t have any idea what type of business they’d like to start but realize that it’s a good idea to create an alternate income stream for savings and tax advantages.
No one is turned away from these classes and you don’t have to live in Chester to attend.
The course fee of $225 can be paid in a variety of ways that is comfortable for you. Scholarships may be available for some Chester residents depending on your situation.
Chester City government has proudly supported this program through its CEDA funding. They recognize that there is only a handful of such programs in the country helping regular people learn how to own their business with such an extensive program and curriculum.
