On January 24, 2012, Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, accompanied by Dave Clark, CEO, Chester Community Charter School, more than 100 Chester residents, concerned CCCS parents of its students, and community members, will demonstrate and deliver signed petitions to ensure that seriously delinquent funding required to continue their children’s education at the school is not curtailed or further delayed, as it has been over the past year.
One group of parents will convene at Senate Education Hearing, Room One, North Office Building. A second group of parents will proceed to the Governor’s office, Capitol, 2nd Floor, to deliver signed petitions. Parents then reconvene on front steps of Capitol to issue a statement.
(On December 29, 2011, the school filed a lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in that regard, in the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court).
