WOMEN SPEAK: STRONG AFRICAN-AMERICAN VOICES IN DRAMA

The J. Lewis Crozer Library in conjunction with the Delaware County Library System (DCLS), an agency of county government, will host a free four-part monologue and discussion series called “Women Speak: Strong African-American Voices in Drama.”
Funded by a very generous grant from the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, this monologue and discussion series will be led by actress Geneva Wiggins-Collins. Each monologue will feature a famous African-American woman and will be followed by a discussion of this woman and her life.
May 3 Sojourner Truth
May 10 Cleopatra
May 24 Mattie (from Fences, by August Wilson)
May 31 Sally Hemings
All shows start are 1:30 to 2pm
