A Wells Fargo spokesman said the 120 employees in the Philadelphia area who will lose jobs work in Chester, Pa., and a number of them were hired in recent months for short-term assignments within the mortgage unit.
“While it does not make the decision to notify these team members that their staffing assignments have ended less difficult, this news should not be entirely unexpected to them,” Wells Fargo said.
