It was their annual Spring banquet, "Hope for the City". There were testimonies of what God is doing in Chester, a performance by the Frederick Douglass Christian School Choir, and Rev. Dr. Don L. Davis, who is World Impact's VP of Leadership Development as well as the founder and director of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI). TUMI provides excellent, seminary level education for urban leaders and pastors at an affordable cost. They have a satellite of TUMI here in Chester called TUMI Chester and we have been training pastors and leaders in Chester for the last 4 years as well as training inmates at SCI Chester, recommended by the chaplain, with seminary education for over a year.
